My road kagura day

At Michi-no-eki My Road IC Chiyoda they have regular performance of Kagura every month.

How to be an audience

A receipt of Kitahiro Ichiba (the souvenir shop next to the restaurant) would be the ticket.

So buy something and show the receipt at the entrance of the hall (restaurant Hibiki).

It doesn’t matter how much you spend and one slip of receipt covers one group.

Schedule

The act is from 16:00 to 17:00.

At 15:00 the waiting list is set in front of the restaurant and the door opens at 15:30.

You cannot reserve a seat previously. First come, first served.

If you are eager for the particular seat, you may have to be on the upper line of the list. But actually you don’t need to be nervous as the hall is quite small and all seats are close enough to the stage.

Even you arrive just before the act begins, the stage would be enjoyable. So take seat by 16:00.

After the act you’ll have a chance to take photos with the performers and/or putting some costumes on!

Manners

You are welcomed to take photos, but you are not allowed to use flashes.

In most case taking movies is also welcomed, but it is prohibited on some occasions. Ask the staff if it’s okay.

Eating and drinking at the seat is prohibited.

How to get to the hall

Get off the bus at Chiyoda bus stop.

Take 20 steps forward and cross the pedestrian bridge.

Turn right and find a huge Japanese drum on the top of the roof.

Restaurant Hibiki (where the act would be held) is right under the drum. Head for it.
