As KAGURA is a traditional art, you may think it is standardized or generalized. But it’s incorrect.

Every troupes are unique and they vary on many points, such as the way to dance, to play music, to use curtain, design of the costumes, etc.

There is no scores for hayashi, a musical accompaniment for KAGURA. As each troupe has unique sounds and rhythms, accompanists have to listen carefully and learn to play by ear.
